Full Labor Day Weekend

This Labor Day weekend we went to Jackson to visit family. Because of our Crossland small group meeting, we didn't end up leaving until Saturday morning and traffic was surprisingly calm. We enjoyed lunch at Los Portales, our favorite Mexican restaurant of all time, and then we had dinner at Red Robin with my parents and brother. Church on Sunday at Highland Park was wonderful. We saw old friends and were truly inspired when we left. Many of you know our church situation is not too great here in BG. We just can't find a church that even comes close to comparing to The River in Cookeville or Highland Park in Jackson. (I will save my church discussion for another posting.) We left Jackson at about four and headed back up to BG to watch another backyard movie at our friends' house. We watched Ghostbusters and it was nice to just sit back and relax. Today even though it is not the weekend but it is a holiday, I spent most of my time writing a research paper that I waited way too long to do. I have had all summer and it is due tomorrow, and what did I do? I waited until the day before to do it. I know it is terrible. I usually am on top of things but not this time. I managed to get it done even though it is not my best writing. I also worked on some school work, went to the grocery store, and then I worked out to a wonderful dvd workout called HipHop Abs. I borrowed it from a friend at school and I think I am going to buy the series. It is a workout that is all dance and it is easy enough that I can even keep up. It was really fun and I got a great workout. I think I will be very sore tomorrow, but for now I feel great!

I LOVE "Jacob Have I Loved" and really want to read "Water for Elephants." You'll have to let me know how it is!
