Christmas in a Nutshell

Well, we arrived in Jackson on Friday and I got a haircut from Amy. I always have to have a haircut when I visit because I don't get a haircut from anyone but Amy. We met my father for dinner and then we stopped by to chat with Bryan's family before heading to my parents house. On our way out to my parent's house, we got a call from my dad. Someone had broken into my parent's house and had stolen all of my mom's jewelry and all the presents under the tree. Needless to say it was a very tough first night in Jackson. Things are going to be alright and everyone was safe but it definitely put a damper on Christmas. Saturday, we had the Richerson's get together and then that evening I got to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant ever, Los Portales. Sunday we went to church at Highland Park and then had my family's Christmas at my parents house. The dogs absolutely loved the tissue paper from the gifts. This was Bella's first Christmas and boy was she excited! Monday, mom and I went shopping and then we had the annual dinner at Outback with the Tillery's. Before we took off to eat dinner, Sophie and Bella were introduced to their new furry cousin. Ally, Amy's new Pomeranian, was not liked by our furry daughters. Sophie and Bella barked at her the whole time we were at the Tillery's. Later that evening we opened presents amongst all the barking and growling and then went to the Christmas eve service at HP. Christmas morning we enjoyed breakfast and then we loaded up everything and headed back to our home sweet home. We had a very nice, cozy Christmas evening. We lit every candle in the living room and dining room, cuddled up under a blanket, and read the Christmas story. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect! That is our Christmas in a nutshell.

Here are a few pictures as always:

That's so sad about your parents, but of course not too surprised. And your parents are just so sweet! But I'm glad you had a nice Christmas otherwise.
