Back in the Swing of Things

Today was my first day back to school and it was actually very delightful. Since I apparently don't use the term "work," according to Bryan, because I don't think of it as work, I mean my job in this case. Perhaps I should say "teaching" instead of school from now on. Anyway, the kids were wonderful and everyone seemed well rested. I had a wonderful break and I was very lazy. Bryan and I did clean and organize the basement but that was about it. We spent most of our days after Christmas in our pajamas all day watching tv on the couch. I didn't get much reading done and I didn't think about teaching really at all. I won't start my graduate classes until the 22nd so it should be a nice couple of weeks. I went back to teaching at the Housing Authority tonight too and even it was very pleasant, not that it ever is unpleasant. The clients are making a lot of progress and we are having fun in our world of learning. Although I could spend the rest of my life staying at home reading, watching tv, napping, and cooking and love every minute of it, it is nice to be back in the swing of things.
