Quilt Making
This past week I learned how to sew using a sewing machine thanks to my friend Robbie. I had my first sewing lesson on Monday where I learned the basics of using a sewing machine. I ended up sewing two pillows and cutting all of my fabric squares for my practice quilt (as I like to call it) too.
Thursday evening, I finally had some free time to sit down and try sewing on my own. It took a little time to get things going, but once I started actually sewing my squares together it went really fast. I was able to finish within a couple of hours. Now this practice quilt is not very big because I just bought one of those small fabric bundles that already had the fabric cut into long strips. But now that I know the basics, I feel confident that I will be able to make another quilt for my very own baby once I find out what colors I might need on May 11th. :)
