Switchfoot, Sweat, and More Sweat

Bryan and I left Bowling Green at about 5:30 yesterday and headed to Louisville for a very good but hot Switchfoot concert. It was at the Louisville State Fair and it was free! We have been Switchfoot fans before they were even popular and had seen them a few other times before they hit it big. We found out last week they were giving a free concert and we knew we had to see them. The concert was great but since it was at the Cardinal Stadium, it was like 90 degrees and horribly hot. We broke out into a sweat before we were even in our seats. We saw a few people we knew there like our friend Shelley and a coworker of Bryan's. Although the concert was in a different city, it felt good to be able to look around and see people that you recognized and knew. It took a while for that to happen in Cookeville when we lived there, and then as soon as we started to feel like that was our home, we moved to BG. We absolutely love Bowling Green and although it felt like home faster than any other place it was still missing that homey feeling when you go out somewhere and can wave or say "hi" to someone you know. The Switchfoot concert brought back fond memories from the past but it also made me realize as I was listening and singing along with the band how wonderful my life is and made me even more excited about what the future might bring. It was a great concert and well worth all the sweat!
