Showered with Gifts

This past weekend we headed to Jackson for two amazing Baby Showers. Amy, my sister-in-law, threw me one on Saturday and my mom and Aunt Meb threw me one on Sunday. I felt so loved after seeing so many people from my past, some that I haven't seen in years and years. It was so great to connect with some friends from high school and to see special people from my childhood. The outpouring of gifts was incredible. We have lots of baby stuff now! I don't know what I can do to ever express how much gratitude I have for my family and friends for thinking of us as venture into the world of parenthood.
When Bryan and I got home we had to sort through all the gifts because I had tutoring clients coming over right after I got home from a teacher in-service day on Monday. So we took presents out of boxes. Bryan managed to disassemble the stroller travel system, inspect it all, and then put it back together. He's such an engineer. I worked on finding places for things like the Diaper Genie, tummy time mats, bottles and accessories, and sorting through clothes. Bryan took care of trying on the Diaper Dude Diaper Bag and setting up the baby monitor. We received our Pack 'n Play earlier in the week since it was shipped straight to our house and the swing that was purchased for us was on back order, but Bryan will get to set that up when it arrives. When we were about done and extremely exhausted from the weekend events, Bryan turned, looked at me, and said, "Ok, I'm ready, let's go have a baby!" It was hilarious. I am not sure I am quite that ready yet, but we are definitely more prepared.

I don't have all the pictures from the weekend on my camera, but I did manage to get some pictures of the decorations before the two showers started.

Amy made this wreath and the diaper cake below. They both looked amazing.

As you can see both showers were decorated so cute and
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend.
