Exhilaration!

I just ran 1.25 miles without stopping at Kereiakes Park! There is something very exhilarating about running. I didn't really get to the point where I thought I was going to die until close to the very end of my run, so I had time to enjoy the scenery, listen to some cool music, and think about random things that popped into my head. I did have to do a little praying while I was going up the huge hill. Earlier today while I was at Bryan's company picnic, I mentioned to a few guys that usually run in the 10K in October that I wanted to be able to run in the 5K this year. I thought that might give me some accountability, because I don't like to go back on my word, and it also gave me some inspiration to really get serious about this whole running thing. When I set out to run this evening, I had my mind set on running all the way around the track. I went extremely and embarrassingly slow, but at least I did it. I am trying to work my way up to 1.5 miles so that I can start Hal Higdon's training for 5K beginners. It's sad I know that I have to work my way up to starting the training, but I am motivated. :)

On a different note, we went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night and it was marvelous! Bryan is not a Harry Potter fan so he basically endured it, but I absolutely loved it. I am ecstatic about the new book coming out this weekend!

Stephanie,

I'm so glad you loved the new Harry Potter movie! We loved it, too, and are a little ashamed about how excited we are for the upcoming book:)

Thanks, too, for the words of encouragement. Though I know in my head that dogs play rough sometimes, it's good to hear it from other people (that I trust)! Not knowing a ton of people down here sometimes makes it hard to compare dog habits, so I was SO glad to hear yours!

Oh, and the pictures of Bryan and Sophie are hilarious!
