Kenny's Farmhouse Cheese

Today, I also took my Summer Reading Program students to Kenny's Farmhouse Cheese. We were given a tour of the cheesemaking area and were shown how they make their cheese. All of the cheese they make is unpasturized and contains no preservatives. They milk their cows and the milk goes directly next door and begins the process of becoming cheese. This cheese is the best I have ever tasted!! It is shipped all over the U. S. and it is even the cheese that is used at the Kentucky Derby and was requested by the Queen of England this past year when she visited the Derby. I had never tasted this cheese before today, but now I am sold on it. It is unbelievable!!
Everbody say cheese!! I know I just had to say it.
I loved this picture with one of my students
holding her nose. It really did stink.
They were making Gouda today but it has to age
for 60 days or more before packaging. Here they
are packaging cheddar.
